Yay indeed, I love them. Got some binoculars for a tenner.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
YAY

Best purchase right now was vintage glitzy scarfs just like the ones my sister wants. And we are celebrating her birthday next time we meet.
yay.... but time consuming to find that "treasure"

Best: I got a shot glass from the "ROCK ISLAND ROCKET" train once for $1.00

@Threepio worth the time for some treasures!!
YAY! I love thrift stores. Also, yard sales.
I usually don't buy anything, but it's always fun to look.
Canuckle · 51-55, M
Yes - best find was Marcus Aurelius Meditations book. It changed my life.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
I like to try and find rare used books there.
SilkandLace2 · 46-50, M
@DearAmbellina2113 yeah, I've totally found some steals for the books i read
Sunstone · 41-45, F
Yay! Always find something worthwhile.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
Occasionally there’s great stuff. I just saw something in a news flash about a 2000 year old Roman bust purchased in a thrift store for $35.99
I buy a lot of clothes in second hand boutique. This way I can wear them a while and sell them back to the store and buy other items
Iwantout · 26-30, M
I love thrift stores and flea markets there's no telling what you'll find
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Depends how they're run. If they take used items and sell them inexpensively, they're can be great. But if they're the type of "thrift" store that takes only nigh-end clothing, etc., and tries to sell it for a large profit, not so great.

Many of my best purchases came from thrift stores, secondhand shops, flea markets, yard sales and garage sales.
They're reducing the demand for jobs.
It's bad for the employers if you can get around expenses that way.
MrEagle · 41-45, M
I don’t mind getting stuff from there. I’m pretty sure half of what I’m wearing today is second hand
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Antique stores, yes. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a thrift store tbh.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
