Will America ever get Universal healthcare?

Richard65 · M
Unlikely. As a Brit, I can see just how deeply the American psyche abhors anything that even smells of Socialism (*see Communism). Generations of cultural brainwashing are hard to overcome. It'd be like attempting an intervention with a rabid cult member who's been kidnapped and tied to a chair.

No because there's too much greed and petty tit for tat. If someone comes up with a health plan that everyone loves across the board and God forbid they put their name on it. The next person behind them due to jealousy and pettiness would undo it. They cant have anyone more loved and popular than them smh.
That is why the Democrats stopped Bernie Sanders to be our USA President, also, every Democrat is for themselves it's opening my eyes to switch parties. Now Bernie Sanders did not endorse Kamala Harris this is why Donald Trump got elected plus Biden screwed Biden I should of voted for Donald Trump people are tired of high cost of living, high cost groceries , people need to feed their babies.

No. This country is too backwards and profit driven

There needs to be an immense societal shift for that to happen, collective rather than individualist society across the board. It's more like that in cities but by dint of lifestyle it won't be like that in the country side.

Only if they fight for it. We will see. The Americans are very easily controlled, but things are getting a little spicy 🔥 out there.

Moar Accelerationism is yet needed to rile up the masses and the classes.

My old instincts would say no, but a lot can change in little time. Everything is on the table. We live in interesting times, folks.
nope.. The Republicans want to throw old people off a cliff.. and mess with people who are sick

Eventually, but most of us will be dead.

I hope so and it could happen but we are now on track to become fully a third world country within 4 years from now unless intervention occurs.
But that's communism and that's bad ...bad I say

american here. i've travelled a lot. there's 2 barriers i see. our system is very complicated by comparison, a blend of private and public health care that doesn't talk to each other. so, coordinating a universal system will require a major transformation. the other barrier i see is how to fund it, either through new taxation or by redirecting current taxes.

other than that, there's still the problem of rural areas without proper health infrastructure, and the polarized political environment...

Will America ever get Universal healthcare?

Not in my lifetime.
