I am having surgery today…..

I am home now. It took 90 minutes to get my COVID test sorted before I could go into the hospital. The first swab wouldn’t work because the machine malfunctioned and the second one they took to the lab and it was negative.

I had 3 procedures done and I lost quite a bit of blood (10% of my blood volume) and I am pretty tired from the anaesthetic but I am okay. The pain isn’t too bad right now. Thank you all for the well wishes, it really means a lot to me.

I'm actually not certain what I'm doing. I have work here I can do and probably will get some of it done.
I had a pressure regulator in the shop go out and I need to go look for a replacement but hate going to town just for that. I'm expecting a call from a contractor about an upcoming project, it would be nice to kill two birds with one stone so I may put off going to town.
I've got another job I'm more or less at the end of and need to touch base with them. I should probably call them today.

Oh fun ! While you’re out you should see if they can’t sneak a steroid injection ( if the do that for you) into your worst joint spots.

You will be able to breathe better!

When you get too the hospital tell them you don’t want to wear one of those ugly things with the open back, because your toooo sexy for one of them. Just tell them I have mine own.

Good luck. I had my nose totally rebuilt when I was 16 after I broke it (a lot) playing pickup football. Huge improvement - no more sinus headaches, no more nosebleeds. I ended up with packing in my nose to keep it in shape while it healed, so I spent over a week breathing only through my mouth. By the time that was over, my lips were chapped worse than I've ever experienced, and my teeth hurt from breathing through them for that long. Also, removing the packing was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had.

Good for you! I’m too chicken to have mine done. I’ve broken it three times and have a deviated septum as well.
