Strange how that is. And most of those people never have an open mind OR been out of the country, let alone their own town. I enjoy the United States, but would love to go to other countries (not the resorts) and live an extended period of time elsewhere, just to compare.@whowasthatmaskedman

@MarmeeMarch I did... On reflection, I stand by my post. 9/11 was a multidimensional tragedy. Thousands of innocents died, because of the ignorance and brutality of a few. I dont even find a single redeeming feature in the politics or motivation of the murderers who participated. Every such story has its heroes and villians. Here we also have heroes and villians.. My post asks if the real villians who through their acts allowed and even promoted the level of death and injury to reach the staggering scale it has and continues to do, will ever face justice...😷

@MarmeeMarch Yes. I would also go with that. There are no good guys in world politics. (With the possible exception of the New Zealand PM.) I would throw our own PM under a bus in a heartbeat for his environmental stance alone. Although I have to give him a tick on the Covid handling (where the individual states held him in check.)😷

When Trump supporters talk about the virus they say it's fake, the numbers are inflated by Democrats and 'Lib' news, anyone who dies from anything are just added into the virus deaths and are 'commies'. All the medical people are lying to make it look bad, the guidelines are just away to control the public and violate their rights. The news reporting deaths in other countries, UK, Russia, Italy etc. are fake and aren't happening. And that Trump is the only one telling the truth, "It's a hoax by the Democrats, we've rounded the corner and it's going away." How is it that so many people believe him and that what he says is the truth, is incredible.

@Jackaloftheazuresand No. And after all this time it seems its not about losing 3000 plus lives in day. Its about losing a couple of buildings in New York it seems. I cant help wondering in the face of some comments here if it would have been a different story had the 9/11 terroritst chosen to park in the Trump Tower, while he was home. America would have lost a bunch of Russians and carbunkle on humanity instead.😷

@swirlie My wife, in tense moments has question the value of Children in principle, although they seemed like a good idea at the time. I tell her I was happy with the dog.. But we both thing the grandchildren are alright sometimes..😷

@swirlie Your personal choice are and should always be yours. But I am from an older time at the tail end of when marriage was "expected" and kids were the progression of that. Both my kids are in the late thities now and married. One with our grandchildren. One who made the concious "no kids" choice. Its interesting to compare and contrast. But I wont judge if there is a better way.😷

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout It clearly isnt about the number who died (Certainly Trump and the Republican horde dont seem to think so now). Its really about the horror as Americans stood as one in pain and anger at thousands of lives were brutally ended in a day. And the world stood solidly WITH America in that moment.
Now some of us STILL stand with the American people as a preventable disaster of the same order is happening again EVERY DAY after warning after warning was ignored and personally I wonder where the outrage of the Republicans is THIS TIME.😷

It’s a miracle that so little deaths happened this year had it not been for covid. No deaths from old age very few flu deaths a record low of heart attack and stroke deaths
@SW-User there have been deaths related to mask wearing. People faint wearing them, esp while driving.
