What's the last useless thing you bought, that at the time you thought it was going to change your life ? Mine was a memory foam pillow, cost £47 and I can't use it it gives me a stiff neck 😂

@SW-User don't get me wrong the apartment was nice but I would buy a house not a location, and the tesco round the corner had homeless people outside just like the one by me 😂

It's a question of impulse control. Compulsive shopping, like gambling and so many other things, is a form of addiction.
When I first discovered ebay, I went nuts. Back then it was like an enormous flea market, and I didn't have to slog through an entire town full of tables and stalls to explore it.
Time has shown me that material goods do not stay with us throughout our lives. Working in nursing homes where all people can bring with them are a few framed photos and 12" of clothing in their tiny closets has demonstrated to me very clearly that there is not one thing that you can take with you.
In the end, you are your memories, your heart, and your soul.

OCD or buying up stuff to fill a void...sadly a lot of purchases end up sold at yard sales because of this.

Not mental, not addiction.
You're buying too much out of impulse, disorganization, the need for comfort or something else. You can stop buying stuff you don't need. Just turn off the computer.
