There's a hangover that's more subtle than an alcohol hangover but it leaves you mentally foggy for a day or two afterwards, so if you smoke weed a lot, you're always a bit out of it. I never used it during the school year or when I was working because I had to be sharp and be able to get stuff done.
Inhaling combustion products is never going to be good for you, although even George Clinton probably doesn't smoke 20 joints a day like with cigarettes.
That said, if you're going to use drugs, then weed is by far the least harmful.

@SW-User And that hangover is way better than the alcohol version, I'd say! It hurts less, at least.

@RemovedUsername8862 oh yeah, between weed and alcohol it's no contest

A systematic study of marijuana and its effects on lung function suggested physiologic data were inconclusive regarding an association between long-term marijuana smoking and airflow obstruction measures. Long-term marijuana smoking is associated with increased respiratory symptoms suggestive of obstructive lung disease.
However, the adverse impact of marijuana smoking on pulmonary function and respiratory complications has not been systematically assessed.
This can be mitigated with vaporizing. Marijuana can affect memory function when smoked chronically in adolescent patients but hasn't been shown to have the same effects in those older than their early 20's.

Smoking anything puts carcinogens into your lungs.
Over use of it has been linked to depression and anxiety. (Alcohol is also like this)
It's not a chemically dependent substance, but it is habit forming.
Delayed reactions measured up to 30 days after use (I personally think that timeline is insane, but it was the study was on pilots so it does make it feel pretty important)
I'm sure there is other things we don't know like development problems, but we haven't collected enough data on it.
Basically, use it responsibly... Kinda like alcohol

Yeah, general laziness and weight gain possibly...other than that, not really. Alcohol is a lot more dangerous for your health because it's physically addictive, makes you act violent and irrational when drunk, and destroys your liver which will kill you in the future

You hear a lot of talk about drugs these
days—at school, in the streets, on the
Internet and TV. Some of it is true, some not.
What you may not know is that much of what
you hear about drugs actually comes from
those selling them. Former drug dealers have
said they would tell people anything to get
them to buy drugs.
You need the real facts and the truth about
drugs so you can make an informed decision
about them. That is why we have prepared this
booklet—for you.

@masterofyou Dude, you're back? And still pushing propaganda? I'd thought you'd gone off to browbeat someone else! Good to see you again, the ol' thread just wouldn't be the same.

@masterofyou When the website is called "drug free," the platform is already obvious.

Read a study once which found those who smoked weed from a very young age developed Schizophrenia in their adult life

(enjoys those who have been reading up on the anti cannabis propaganda and believing it. shame. )

@RemovedUsername8862 Go peddle your drugs some other place... I'm not interested what you have to say... GOOD BYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RemovedUsername8862 · 31-35, M
@masterofyou Yeah, people die. People die all the time, and for any number of reasons. I've worked on an ambulance, and I've worked in a hospice, and I've volunteered in a homeless outreach center, and I have yet to see somebody die from pot. Opiates are the real killers, them and ketamine. If you want to go and rage about the evils of drugs, go yell at some pillheads or golden-arms, and leave stoners alone.

@RemovedUsername8862 Hey can you take a hint?? just go away....

Aside from smoke inhalation, not really.

Just kidding 😋

@basicgirl12 Haha, I get that - I made it in 7th grade and have used it ever since. It's mine, you know, ridiculous though it be.

It looks lovely in a fish tank.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
If you smoke it, it also impairs you if you count that
Doomflower · 41-45, M
Lack of motivation, weight gain, and icky lungs.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
if smoked sure the inhalation is not good.
that's about it.
that's about it.

@RemovedUsername8862 if it's legal where you and you can grow fresh you'll have many opportunities to utilize it in many ways and benefit in different ways depending on how it's consumed.
but if you're going to bake, cook... use it in a butter element so on, you must know your chemistry :D
eating it raw may not get you toasted but... in that state it's very high in iron, zinc, b-12/6 and it's got good enzymes the blood stream and organ tissues will love.
it's great for the colon also.

@sighmeupforthat Huh, I didn't know that! Well, come Jan 1st, it'll be legal, but the people I live with are really pot-unfriendly, so that'll have to change too.

SW-User
@sighmeupforthat the impending legalization in Canada may actually help out the local economy a lot. It's only economical to grow high-value crops here and farming was decimated by the railway connection to the economies of scale possible on the gargantuan farms of the prairies. But we have a longer growing season and a much milder winter.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Munchies are rough on your BMI 😂

SW-User
Oh yeah, I should mention that too much weed can give you panic attacks, which are not dangerous but are scary as hell.
RemovedUsername8862 · 31-35, M
@SW-User Yeah, no kidding, especially if you're in a paranoid mood at the time too.
RemovedUsername8862 · 31-35, M
Nope, aside from reduced lung function and a tendency towards weight gain. If you have a family history of schizophrenia, I'd stay away, but it's not going to fuck you up, not like LSD can.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
that sh*t can't be good for your brain development and lungs. But I remember I heard on the radio it leads to sexual dysfunction later in life
MartinTheFirst · 26-30, M
very icky lungs
MethDozer · M
To an extent. Smoking always decreases lung function and introduces particulates to the lung tissue. THC can trigger certain Schizophrenia genes if one has them present in their DNA, but at the same time CBD suppresses them. Heavy use can cause some hormone disruption, but it's low and really only occurs with extremely long term heavy, heavy use. While not addictive it can become a crutch.
