Best ideas for getting in shape?

I finally decided to get off my ass and try to lose a little weight, get more in shape. I am starting with simple like increasing steps... did 17,000 today! Calorie counting is obvious but painful. What motivates you?

Doctor told me that I am in danger of getting kidney stones if I don't cut down on oxalates and purines. That leaves me romaine lettuce and cooked (but not raw) kale. I think I might lose some weight, but I don't know if I'll have any energy for exercise.

]@cherokeepatti I'm not in a position, financially to afford the vibration platform.

@Serenitree I wasn't until this summer and I got one...they had been over $2000 when I first heard of them nearly a decade ago, the price has come way down and I got one for nearly a tenth of that cost.

@cherokeepatti I may be straightened around in a year or do. Got myself in a hole It will take at least a year to dig myself out.

Well, I can give you some kick ass exercise strategies, but most of mine are actually geared towards weight gain, in the form of muscle. I'm not looking to lose weight or get thinner. I'm already naturally too skinny. But I know that cardio is the best for losing weight. Running is excellent, biking might be even better. Get yourself a bicycle and ride it all over the place, you'll lose a decent amount of weight.

If you're interested in gaining a lot of muscle, then PM me, cos I can show you how to get some fuckin' flawless biceps and abs like I have.

@Bazingaa Likely, yes. With the kind of biceps and abs I have, you should never doubt 💪

Hmmm... I think you underestimate what you have to work with here lmao @BlueMetalChick

@Bazingaa Repetition is the key. If you can dedicate yourself to exercising regularly, over periods of time, that is when you see the best results.

I bought a vibration platform and use that almost every day, sometimes more than one time a day. Easy to use and it increases circulation, didn't lose much weight this summer but have lost sizes. Which surprised me.

I also went on a resistant starch diet, apparently that's what I needed to lose weight...changed my appetite to where I don't want sweets or grains...having to learn to cook different foods without either of them but learning.
I don't really like carrying extra weight so I guess that's what motivates me.

@Spoiledbrat sadly that hasn't been enough motivation for me lol
I am not much into exercise. I like dancing and I love yoga but cannot afford it at the moment. Something that plays a big part on it is I eat veggies, fruits, fish, chicken, mostly baked, not fried & green smoothies. One tip is I wear a gearfit and after work like to walk at the mall or store to reach my goal.

@CuriousMind You don't need to "afford" yoga. Yoga is free. Going to a yoga studio to take classes is for chumps. My dad is a yoga instructor. All the shit they do at those goofy ass yoga studios is for geeky Jewish chicks who wanna be trendy.
@BlueMetalChick free!🤔 where?⁉
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CuriousMind All you need is a yoga book. It tells you the poses to do, and you do them.

Results motivate me. Plus I genuinely enjoy working out
I'm a picky either so I'm only gaining weight because I'm growing but what motivates me to be healthy is encountering close friends or family I love
