Do you consider yourself cocksure/sassy and in your prime or are you more sedate and weathered by time?

KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
I am definitely sure of myself I just have trust issues with everyone else and I no longer believe in happy endings

That's kinda harsh but people do seem a lot more short-tempered and unwilling to compromise.
I am sassy but tired AF lol

@rinkydinkydoink I don’t know what your position is, but it seems as we grow older, and have much life experience under our belt, we can see what we could not see in our younger years. I suppose that’s what growing old is about. Then we know things that do us no good anyway. We could have put this knowledge to good use back in the day, but that saying “youth is wasted on the young,” is really true. Oh well, what’s done is done.
@Carissimi

My position was - and still is for the most part - what I laid out for you in my response to your original comment.

I'm sure age has - I'm sure you're now more mellow? More accepting of a lot that used to bother you, perhaps? Realizing that youth will always see things differently than their elders and you must adapt to the world they are now shaping?

I was projecting. But you added a complexity that makes sense so I have to consider that, too.
Carissimi · F
@rinkydinkydoink Thanks for clarifying. I don’t agree with it because I could never adapt (and wouldn’t want to) to today’s society which has truly lost its way. I’m being nice using those terms, but I don’t want to spoil my own day, let alone another’s by speaking about the true reality of this time. Enjoy your day. 😊
Samek · 36-40, M
Depends on the topic but as I grow older I realize how much more I don't know and how much more is irrelevant.
@Samek

Yes!
Samek · 36-40, M
@rinkydinkydoink I reckon we cut from the same tapestry.
@Samek

What you just said - - was that something you heard your parents use?

Chief Dan George. You just described him. You are in great company.

The latter, I was briefly the former but it ended badly.

I'm confident, mature and wiser than I once was.
I feel less driven by others responses....which leaves me freeer to be me.

I still try to read the room, or guage the moment best i can, but i like being me.

And im not ashamed to be me 🤗
