Coming home with my wife after a night out with some younger associates. I looked in the mirror and said to my wife."Dang, I looked like everyone grandfather tonight!" The thing was, I felt it too!
I commiserate because that happened to me too, and it gets worse as time passes. Some days I absolutely hate it, and feel despair, like “yes, it’s over for me, no romance, no career, no activities I once enjoyed to look forward to,” and other days I can shrug my shoulders, be thankful for what I do have, and get on with it.
Every time I visit a doctor, I hear, "Well, you are getting older." I know that! I love my dental hygienist who said, "You really don't look that old." Thank you, Sweetheart! Old age sucks!
