I had intractable epilepsy - basically uncontrollable, frequent seizures. Even on the max amount of meds I was having seizures daily. They said I had a 95% chance of dying if I didn't have a very delicate brain surgery. If this had happened a decade earlier than it did, they wouldn't have been able to do the surgery and I probably would've died.
I'd have been screwed in mideval times. They'd throw epileptics into dungeons and leave them to starve because they thought they were possessed. Ironically it would sometimes temporarily fix seizures because the lack of food would put them into ketosis, which treats seizures.

Probably the same, untreated influenza. I have required antibiotics before and who knows with poor nutriention, I could have died.

@PatientlyWaiting25 I started taking the pill early too because I had very heavy periods.
AngelaR80 · 41-45, F
@samueltyler2 I still had it and I was ill with it.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@AngelaR80 that is unusual, the vaccine is so close to being 100% effective.

I used to get bad UTIs probably that
E.coli, acute kidney injury leading to nearly full failure, horrific UTI, Dehydration, malnutrition, etc, all at once. +More
the Guillain-Barré Syndrome I experienced likely would've been fatal in the good ol' days
dunno why anyone pines for or romanticizes that era at all (or would like to drag the rest of us back into it, today)

I would have died as a baby or a small child. I wasn't meant to make it by nature's laws.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@CrazyMusicLover The mental stress was probably very strong. I hope you can overcome the effects. ❤

@samueltyler2 I doubt it but thanks.
