@helsbels Dealing with critters in the home is often a pain.
The best we can do is to make our homes VERY uninviting for them.
Ironically though, the less comfortable it is for critters, the MORE comfortable it is for humans.
One thing about air purifiers, I think the quality ones are kind of expensive, but you can research that if you go that route.

Hi I know this post is a few months old but did the sneezing get any better?
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@helsbels is it having any affect?
helsbels · 31-35, F
@MrAverage1965 Yes, not causing what I mentioned in my first post anymore
MrAverage1965 · 61-69, M
@helsbels I sneeze often myself and have always put it down to a deviated septum, maybe I need to get the hoover out.
helsbels · 31-35, F
Ok... every item of bedding and nightwear I own washed on high temperature.
Extensive dusting, beating and hoovering of surfaces, sofa, mattress, floor.
Put a spider plant in my room.
Ran a dehumidifer for 12 hours.
Your move, dust mites 🤣
Oh, and getting some lavender/clove/eucalyptus oil to spray around like a priest at an exorcism.

shout at them
no seriously though, apparently you can get a UV vacuum and that kills them.

Essential oils contain compounds that repel or kill insects, including dust mites. The best essential oils for getting rid of dust mites are clove, rosemary, and eucalyptus oil. Add 20 drops of oil to four ounces of witch hazel, and spray your mattress, couch, drapes, and other dust mite hangouts.

You can try any of the below two simple things..i guess it is happening once in every two hours or so and continues. Whenever you feel like having this type of "allergy" drink something hot like coffee, tea or even hot water. The other method is raising your voice a bit higher..like singing or laughing..this should solve your issue..I'm having this issue for quite a long time and I'm doing this.im an indian and ethnically I prefer home treatments like this..

I think lots of cleaning, intense cleaning is the only answer

Before you burn the house down, first do an allergy test and confirm if it really is dust mites that is causing the problem.
Start trying anti histamine tablets for a month. Allegra has become a common drug around the world treating allergies as many suffer from various types of allergies.
Don't turn yourself into a clean freak as it may lead you to OCD condition.

Highly recommend a UV cleaning lamp. I saw someone mentioned a UV vacuum, but they now sell cleansing lamps like the hospitals use to kill dust mites and other critters. I own one that I purchased off of Facebook and it has done wonders!

Buy a new pillow case for allergens. Down pillows are the worst for it but others can get them too. They are not expensive and washable.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
I don't know if there is anything you can do; they are ubiquitous. Like Fatalice, have less porous material that may be hard to clean. I've heard of that those steam machines can kill them, I'm not sure though.
