Another update.
Now for the continuing saga of Broken Ankle Operation.
Taxi arrived on time. 5 km into the journey...phone rings
I answer with, "Hello. I'm on my way"
to wit the response is, "That is unfortunate. I have bad news for you....we have to cancel your operation again. Can you come in at the same time tomorrow?"
"This is the third cancellation this week, yes I can come in tomorrow, same time you say"?
"Yes please. Same fasting regime applies. Nothing after midnight and small glass of water at 6 am"
"Okay, I will see you tomorrow"?
"Yes, we will do our best"
It has been almost two weeks since the accident.
Initially it was a fracture, the cast, being on for so long with no follow up, has been pushing on the fracture and now it is truly broken. Pushed down at least half an inch.
So initially there were only going to be two screws, a plate will have to be used as well.
Not much I can do, not much anyone can do.
If the Government of the day does not keep up the increasing funding costs then the injured are the ones that pay the price.
