Depending how long shes been in that situation... It can get kinda crazy in their heads.
There is such a thing as trauma bonding. Where somehow, thr endorphin flux from 'fight - make up', screws with the pleasure centre's of their brain. So they are lost... They love the person that abuses them.
They still hate the abuse, but the 'love bombing' or breadcrumbs of affection they get... They yearn for.
It's just a form of mental and emotional conditioning, or 'brainwashing'.... It's incredibly sad.
That opinion might not even be hers... It might be her partners, and she just echo's it.
Or, it could be that she just can't get out :no friends, shame from family if she asked, no job, no income, no car,... Mixed with all this covid social restraints.... It can become impossible.
She might be trying to keep what little standards she has left.
Either way...and I HATE myself for saying this.... But, don't get involved except for ringing the Police.
It can be a highly complex, and evidently volitile situation.
It's hard to explain to someone from the outside,, the logic and reasoning behind why one stays in these relationships.... And I look back and confuse myself.
But I can say.... Even if it's just one of them being the violent one.... You don't want to step into it.
It's a fucked up reality, and it defies reason.
