Are your knees starting to go?

Matt85 · 36-40, M
I'd say they've got a good 10 years left in them

I just started having problems this year. Had gout in my right big toe. Steroids fixed that tgen I dislocated my right knee which caused my right calf to tear. Then left foot had planter faciitus from trying to lower the foot rest on the lazyboy. That cleared up in a couple days but then tge top.of my right foot felt like it was on fire from driving. That seems to have cleared up but I'll know more by morning.

It's been my experience that gout flare-ups are caused by certain foods that you eat. You must do some detective work by writing down what you eat, such as pork sausage, bacon, chocolate donuts, fruit juices, oranges, etc. Sometimes just one foot will flare-up and other times it will be both, making it almost impossible to walk. When I had it, I could usually walk it off in a couple of painful days. Since I have deleted certain foods, I no longer have the gout pain.

Last week I was doing my usual walk and fell flat on my face. It happened without warning. I was able to get up with no broken bones, but I did smash my upper lip and had a few drops of blood. I was able to walk home with no problems, but I was lucky I didn't fall while crossing the street. My left knee blew up and hurt like hell when trying to straighten it. I thought the pain would go away after a couple of days, but it got worse and I went to urgent care, the x-rays were good and the doctor gave me some powerful pain pills, which eliminated the pain, but eventually caused constipation. So, be sure to take a good laxative if you get on pain pills. I wore a knee brace for a couple of days, which helped. I will get a MRI in a couple of days to see if there is any damage.

If you have a few minutes you may want to read a couple of articles =

All of the "good" foods are "bad' for you under certain conditions. That's one of the major problems of going to the doctor for a specific condition because they tend to look at it from a very limited view instead of considering the "global" view. So, they will give you a pill, but it does nothing to correct the problem. For instance, a person could be diagnosed with asthma but the real problem could be an ulcer on the esophagus caused by acid reflux that affects the person's breathing.

Starting to??? Oh heck no! They have gone. After 45 years of construction they say it's time to take a break.
They ache when I’m in bed … so probably yes 🥹 that’s life *creeks and squeaks

Started experiencing bunions as soon as I turned 30. Have had a swollen knee for the first time when I turned 34. This forced me to go for a major change in life style. Now I am good and hope it continues 🤞🏻

I hope not any time soon. I absolutely must walk or have back problems.

I walk as much as ten miles per trip.
