You can restrict your notifications to only "replies to your activity."

I did that as a default. So I do get notified other people's replies to other people's activity.

Go to Account Settings >> Notifications.

Click "Replies to my Activity".

Yeah it's never very relevant. I don't get many notifications anymore. I've pretty much been cancelled again. Even people who are my "friends" just stop talking to me. I'm taking a break from people for awhile. You're awesome though. Be well.
