That's now the difference with the old EP. One could have been either into the occult then or the die hardish catholic around. Now it's very much like either conform or I'll block you. Somehow blocking someone for having a certain opinion isn't what I'd consider being nice. On the other side I've had an experience of someone repeating the very same question about fifty times and still going on. That was a clear example of bullying. Neither anyone from outside the discussion tried to intervene nor did the management. There's a clear need for stewarts for every section of these talking groups. But then I'm old and I've seen the world as it is already

I upset a very good friend here by posting something that upset the member immensely.
I warned all that the post might be distressing.
My friend looked and was highly distressed and really went apeshit on me for posting it.
We fell out for a couple of years. I even contemplated leaving.
We interact with each other civilly now but only with a comment or two.
Things between us have not returned to before "That Post" days.

yes, some over political differences (in the USA, and recently a Thai woman got nasty when I told her her story about her brother at a young age getting sexually assaulted by other males was in fact assault..).

It is really difficult to offend me. I disagree with a lot of things I see on SW, but I choose not to discuss politics or religion online. Since most of my disagreements are on those two topics, I remain silent.

I belive, without any hard evidence, that the site is actively limiting interactions amongst certain posters. The only other option is that my gruff demeanor and razor wit has scared some individuals off. I find that unlikely as these individuals do not strike me as easily scared offish...

I believe I did so, and was insta-blocked. The person I'm referring to just came back from a hiatus. And, one thing lead to another, as me being silly with my horrible sense of humor and antics. Lol 😆 yeah weird right? Anywho. Sorry lady.

I imagine that most blocks, people being offended, arguing, etc is the result of political arguments.

Avoid that part of SW and it is unlikely you will have any unpleasant interactions.

I was pretty bad about hanging out on the political parts for a while but it just p*ssed me off so, I had to use a few blocks and then find something more pleasant to read about.

People are too wimpy and easily offended these days. I recently spoke plainly and honestly and was blocked for it right away. I laughed. To be honest, I couldn't care less.

Well, there are some bumps now and then, aren't there? But I don't lose my sleep over anything that happens on here.

I know someone who does that, there's a group of "fishwives" who love to gossip, spread lies etc, but I could not possibly tell you who it is or I'd be eliminated

People here always plead their right too free speech but then the second that someone else post an opinion they jump all over you and tell you that you're (me) what’s wrong with this world and then they block you

Sure, but I am usually more so annoyed by the individual who would jump on my answers (not the Author of the Post) and then continue to argue with me, then make lighthearted comments with others, these particular trolls are on here daily.

As long as 'victims' who bring their own misfortunes upon themselves are coddled and pampered, everyone is happy. The last thing anyone needs on this site is someone who tells the truth as it is.
