Number of Profile Views?

Yes every visit shows as a separate visit. Try not worry. Lots of people do it.

For example this is mine.

Ive accidentally clicked on people's pages and i was praying thst they didnt think i was stalking . Sometimes a person has a pic that i want to see so i click on the pic thinking it will enlarge and it opens their page. Those who know me knows that I'm a tattoo lover. So if you have visible tats I've looked, I'm guilty! There's also one lady on here with really beautiful hair i was looking at her hairstyle and it opened her page. Lol i didn't want to seem weird and have people wondering why the heck I'm on their page. So now you know!

A friend and i were trying to work this out, and it takes HOURS, and possibly upto a day, (im only guessing there as we gave up trying after a few hours).

I went to his profile, he went to mine, over and over again while we were on here one day .
And both our efforts only counted as one.

I think it does this to stop people with multiple alts, or asking their friends to 'boost' their own view count .

So yeah, say if i went once a day to your profile ....itd count.

But not if i did it multiple times a day.

your own don't count, views in consecutive order don't count, but spaced out from the same person do. so if I look at your profile now and an hour from now, that's two. if I look now, scan around for a second, look again, it's only one.

There is a way to test this.

Go to a profile, preferably of someone who is not super active and probably not getting views every minute. Note the number of views.

Then leave the page and come back 5 seconds later, and see whether the view count has changed.

I think @ABCDEF7 is right that a certain amount of time has to pass between your successive visits before a new view registers.

I guess there must be a time limit before the profile count is increased if seen by same person again. Otherwise someone can just ask their friend to keep refreshing their profile page to increase their profile views.

I'm sorry, I don't pay attention to the profile views.

I don't check. I don't think it matters, at least for me.

Well I'm pretty sure it's counted as a new view.

I never knew it actually mattered or that anyone had nothing better to do than keep track of such a trivial thing.

It won’t count as another view unless it is an hour or more from the last view that was counted
