Gibbon · 70-79, M
Tribal support doesn't indicate factual proof. It's a scare tactic to ensure another's brain turns to mush. As we mature we learn it's also used as a political tactic.
@Gibbon As outlined in Orwell's 1984.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Thinkerbell Indeed, Orwell intended the book as a dire warning, instead the leftists are using his writings as instructional manuals.
Straylight · 31-35, F
My nephew tried to say this by asking what 1+1 was and insisting that it was 11 because 1 and 1 is 11. I had a whole explanation that + doesn’t mean to put two numbers side by side, it means to add values.
Jlhzfromep · M
@Straylight when they get older they will learn that 1 and 1 = 11 and 11=3….lol
Straylight · 31-35, F
@Jlhzfromep When my niece was like four or five, I tried explaining negative numbers and it made her cry.
Jlhzfromep · M
@Straylight I want to say “awwww” and laugh at the same time
That makes person x a cult leader.
@OlderSometimesWiser The center of the collective consciousness. 😏

@OlderSometimesWiser
That makes person x a cult leader.
Or just a candidate for high political office ....
@RoguishEyes @ffony Yes indeed.
Blue... The answer is always blue...
Straylight · 31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl It’s 42.
@Straylight No, I'm certain it's blue... 🤔🤔🤔
ShepherdBard · 31-35, M
Yes, the mob decides the truth!
@ShepherdBard I've noticed that. 🤭
helenS · 36-40, F
If that person is talking about string addition then they will be right.
"2" + "2" = "22".

Mindless mob mentality. And agreeing with anything of those they worship.
@Magenta Even more concerning are the two or three "deep thinkers" who say it IS correct and try to rationalize it. Can't just answer the question or address the issue. Aren't they smart? 😂
🤷 I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. You got at least one on every post.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
No? Popularity is certainly not a measure of accuracy.
Jlhzfromep · M
Then they talk bad about all who dare to question their version of math
Adogslife · 61-69, M
If their license says “M”, they are wrong.

If their license says “F”, they are wrong.

If their license says “X”, they can’t be wrong. They’re just proving how some 2’s identify.
HumanEarth · F
No that means they're all Mormons
jehova · 31-35, M
Not factually but in it might make them think they are.
Classified · M
In certain theories that can be correct. 😋
jehova · 31-35, M
Not in a factual sense.
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
If enough people agree that it is true, it is true. Not because it changes reality, but because it has forced a change in the language we use to describe reality. Mathematics, at the end of the day, is a language used to describe a very specific thing. In a world where 2+2=22 is true, the reason is because our understanding of either 2 or + or = or 22 or some combination thereof is different.

As an example, in many computer programming languages if you take 2 as a text character and + as a string concatenate command, you indeed get a string result of 22. The statement is truthful, but the understanding behind it is different.
@ViciDraco We need a 🙄 reaction emoji.
Yes, it also makes them JavaScript devs
By reason of mob mentality, they think so.
@NativePortlander1970 When everyone agrees, only one person is doing the thinking.
@RoguishEyes Yep, the rest are nothing more than mindless parrots.
