If 'person X' says 2 + 2 = 22, and a mob of their friends ❤️ that comment, does that make 'person X' correct?

If enough people agree that it is true, it is true. Not because it changes reality, but because it has forced a change in the language we use to describe reality. Mathematics, at the end of the day, is a language used to describe a very specific thing. In a world where 2+2=22 is true, the reason is because our understanding of either 2 or + or = or 22 or some combination thereof is different.

As an example, in many computer programming languages if you take 2 as a text character and + as a string concatenate command, you indeed get a string result of 22. The statement is truthful, but the understanding behind it is different.
