I could be off mark, but I feel on EP people talked about their experiences and their interests, whereas on SW people talk about their politics and

…their world view or attitudes. I guess it’s indicative of a the change in society. Which is a pity because I prefer the EP posts.

Nowadays is the problem with having an open mind is there’s no shortage people trying to fill it with their crap.

There are quite a few of those here who practically make it their part-time job to be like that. More propagandists than real users.

I do feel more people wrote about their personal experiences on ep than here. I know I did. Now I feel like I’m just here on SW to argue.

I never thought of it but it really does show how much society has changed since then

It's a different time.

We've seen a younger generation spoon-fed social media dross while discouraging thought and discourse on the stuff that really matters.

The E:P Community recorded the events that shaped their lives.
The tragic; the shocking; the elation; the fear from past or future events, and the community acknowledged it all and was supportive.

Many still do that here. But youngsters really do have to accept the fact that you're not supposed to ask strangers why their boyfriend/girlfriend says and behaves the way they do.
You're supposed to ask them yourself. etc

It’s ok but unfortunately people are less tolerant about others having their own views on things and instead of agreeing to disagree they get personal and argumentative.
This is not EP. Never has been. Never will be.

Thank you and goodnight.

This is true. However, the world has changed. Trump, Covid, Ukraine, Israel, the general pressure of life have made a lot of people more selfish and less caring of others.😷

I mostly look at pictures of food and scantily dressed women
I randomly share a thought, or say hi 👋

I've seen a lot of stories about experiences and interests on here too.

@WintaTheAngle🤔the problem being a forum i think all topics are up for debate and i what i can recall vaguely there would of been politics on experience project , the problem now is because of certain politicians an convictions there has been battle lines drawn between two opposing sides .really for the sake of harmony maybe certain topics maybe removed as the main capitalist in similar worlds friction 🤷‍♂️

I wish I could have been around for EP.

Did you see where a sting ray in North Carolina got pregnant? Sounds like JohnnyO's work!

How many years has it been since EP went down? Anyway the Politicians weren't as crazy back then.

All people do anymore is complain that sw isn’t ep
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
You could be right
I would never post how I did on EP. However, it's good that people feel they can. Society has changed. We no longer have the time or inclination to care as we once did.

@V00doo it’s like our parents raised us for an EP world but now it’s all just SW
There were plenty of political discussions on EP, too. But possibly because there were more posters overall there was a larger variety of topics. One could avoid what wasn’t of interest.
