It seems strange and suspicious, yes, but I would at least give the person a chance. If they don't work out or are really weird then you could always block.

strictly speaking, they could have had many many posts, but deleted or set all of them to private. it's more than a little weird, but I wouldn't think it's conclusive.

Difficult to know whether to answer with no posts to give an idea of the person. Tends to be a little bit odd I agree.
