What's the most sobering thing you've ever heard someone say?

After the call I received from my mother informing me she had cancer, my roommate "I've known 3 women who had that type of cancer and none of them survived" ...my mom was #4.

And maybe add:
“And one should know when to quit trying.”

My mother telling me "your uncle killed himself". I heard those words at 14 and things were never the same after.

It’s true though 😞

those true words are disheartening but we must accept the truth rather than living in a very miserable situation.

When I got the call that a close friend had died tragically

i wise quote. and true

replies. "men make me nervous i am afraid they will Kill me "

Well he was right

Obviously the case with my son's marriage.
But damn, that drink in my face woke me up to reality 😒 😳💔
Thing is, she didn't even have the guts to say it face to face. We were 1000 miles away on vacation. 🤷‍♀️

Maybe when i heard the sounds of two people 'getting it awn' in the locked garage, and the next morning after some slut walked out i confronted my ex, and his reply was ...

..."For all you know , we might have just been watching porn together !"

I mean, its kinda funny now that he thought THAT was a viably better excuse 🤦‍♀️😂

...but at the time i was just ....My mind just shut down, everything shut down, 20 years shut down .

....and my head cleared of all his years of bullshit in that moment.

When my probation officer refused to let me go see my biological mother in Phoenix while she was undergoing chemo.
