What's the most sobering thing you've ever heard someone say?

Listening to a therapist about marriage counseling--and it applied to me:
"Not every marriage can be saved; not every marriage should be saved"

Was like someone throwing a drink in my face.

Maybe when i heard the sounds of two people 'getting it awn' in the locked garage, and the next morning after some slut walked out i confronted my ex, and his reply was ...

..."For all you know , we might have just been watching porn together !"

I mean, its kinda funny now that he thought THAT was a viably better excuse 🤦‍♀️😂

...but at the time i was just ....

My mind just shut down, everything shut down, 20 years shut down .

....and my head cleared of all his years of bullshit in that moment.
