I don’t know about general standard, but I think we all have our personal preferences of what we would consider beautiful.

There are those that are “visually” good looking. I’d notice and appreciate features and form. Do I find them attractive? No, not necessarily.

Then there are those that I find attractive, that others may not consider good looking.

But that’s just the physical.

What i regard as “beautiful “ would involve an overall knowledge or understanding of the person’s attitude, behavior, intellect, personality, values, and heart.

Hm. I kinda balked at the idea of rating beauty as I don’t give it a lot of conscious thought, but I think I get what you mean. I’m drawn more to interesting character than perfect form. Some human quality or expression of soul or intellect. I can appreciate that standard kind of symmetry that inherently pleases the eye, but it’s more like thinking “that’s nice” than truly finding it beautiful. Beautiful is something more.

Well, I am not sure what the general standard is. But, to be beautiful for me you're going to have to have more going for you than just a pretty face... nice smile, personality, their energy.. I find beauty in many different ways than just that>There uniqueness, their ability to be themselves and not care what others think, it can be in a way a person talks, the way they sit, the way they walk, a peculiar face they make, an unusual habit they have, a quirky sense of humor, etc

I don't know it's off from some arbitrary standard, but I don't classify beauty as solely as a physical characteristic. Age too has something to do with it.

Generally speaking, I see the younger as fresh or pretty and only when a person gets older do I see the beauty emerge.

Not saying there are not beautiful younger people... it's just not as often seen in the young.

For me, beauty is more of a feeling than an image. It's the light in someone's eyes or the energy in their smile, even the impact of their words, that makes them "beautiful" to me. I find it very hard to tell whether someone is truly beautiful or not until I get to know them a little.

Of course I'm pretty far off the "general standard" too, so there's that.

Beauty is on the eye of the beholder. The standards of beauty also differ for each country and ethnic group.

Personally, when it comes to looks, I have my own standards of what I'd say is acceptable for myself. So I guess I base my perspective on others from that. As they say, we could be our worst critic sometimes.

Yeah, probably. I don't look at what is conventional, though that doesn't mean I might not find some conventional beautiful too. It's just that I find a lot of non-conventional beautiful too.

I think,it might be so, I think people are ugly who have ugly attitudes and are cruel and it matters not how beautiful there outsides may be they are not attractive to me.

Ultimately, the beauty I most value is inner beauty. But I like cute nerdy guys who are kind and a selection of other things. But haven’t found anyone that actually meets those standards. Just decoys. I need a man that is actually legitimately into health and fitness and actually knows how to cook healthy meals for himself and is actually capable of keeping up with me on outdoorsy adventures. One day, he shall fall upon my path. If not, I will be a bad ass independent lady nonetheless with a very cute cat. And enjoy life with my freedom.

Probably, I don't really rate their beauty. I need to know someone before I find them beautiful, I can see a person is attractive but beautiful is more intense

I have been told my beauty standards are not the generally acceptable norm.

But i say to them -- Maybe you've been brainwashed and cant see for yourself what beauty is.
It is the soul. The side of them that is still there when there is no one around to see and no one to witness.

I don't judge people's looks/appearance anymore. Was like that ages ago. I think if I like someone for whatever reasons that person is beautiful to me.

We are unprecedently bombarded with more images of beautiful people than ever before in human history .

Self image is at an all time low so bad, we fliter how we look just to appear 'presentable '.....to [i] strangers ![/i]

I just rate people by their attitude and friendly looks.

It’s more important how someone treats other people. For me anyways. There’s too much pressure on people to look perfect, especially women. Every celebrity and influencer is photoshopped so how does anyone fit that standard. Seems pretty unattainable to me.
