Is your standard of rating peoples beauty off from the general standard?

I don’t know about general standard, but I think we all have our personal preferences of what we would consider beautiful.

There are those that are “visually” good looking. I’d notice and appreciate features and form. Do I find them attractive? No, not necessarily.

Then there are those that I find attractive, that others may not consider good looking.

But that’s just the physical.

What i regard as “beautiful “ would involve an overall knowledge or understanding of the person’s attitude, behavior, intellect, personality, values, and heart.

@CookieCrumbs of course personality is very important! but part of our love is physical
@popmol
And that’s what I mean. Physical is always a factor.

But what you might consider attractive is not the same as what I find attractive. Each person has this “detection” system in their brain when they assess another physically.

@CookieCrumbs of course, but that was the question does that person preference align in great lines with the average ideas of beauty, like average european standard are bigger bust hourglass figure, bigger eyes, small nose and such! (from what i know)
@popmol
Again that goes back to my original comment: there are those that are visually good looking.

And I think there is a universally established criteria for that as “defined” by the media. Just look at actors, celebrities, models, etc. the media promotes this “look”. And I think VISUALLY, most would agree with that. That’s the face that sells on the movie screen or on magazine prints.

If your question to me is:
Do I find them all beautiful?
No. They are visually pleasing to look at is what I would say.

@CookieCrumbs aah thats a good way of saying, not beautiful by your standard of beautiful but pleasing to look at!
@popmol
You got it!!!

And remember: not everyone who is visually pleasing to look at is “attractive “ to everyone. 😉

@CookieCrumbs of course!
