Would you rather live in Missouri, Minneosta, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah or Colorado?

dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Not into severe winters. Those parts of Texas I have been to showed me nothing, although I admit I haven't been to San Antonio or Austin which I have heard good things about. Arizona has become so schizoid between the overly urbanized and polluted areas and the rustic redneck areas. So, by default, New Mexico. Which has some nice places, and seems content to remain unfound and middle-of-the road.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
I live in Missouri, and honestly, I'm pretty much done with it.

I've been to Minnesota a couple times and I really liked it, but I imagine the winters there are more intolerable than they are here.

I liked Arizona when I was there. I could make it work.

New Mexico was great, too, although I only passed through it a couple times.

Texas? Fuck no.

Utah might be OK.

Colorado would probably be OK.

I live in Missouri too. What is it you don't like about it?
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
@swandfriends I'm tired of all the ijits. I'm tired of flat. I'm tired of the weather.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Well i already live in Missouri
swandfriends · 41-45, F
Me too

Texas or Arizona. Bring on the hot summers. Regret moving from Texas
@Nature3 are you asking what point in the year our pool water gets warm? Probably April or May..
Nature3 · 56-60, M
@ChiefWalksWith40oz So in June already swimming pools really don't cool you off because the water temp is low 80s or higher?
@Nature3 surprisingly it still does cool you off.. even when the waters warm it's still not as hot as direct sunlight & being wet definitely makes the wind feel cooling
Texas simply because houses are so cheap there. I live in Arizona & everybody here wants to move to Texas for that reason 😂
Nature3 · 56-60, M
@ChiefWalksWith40oz Texas and Arizona still have the most people moving there.
@Nature3 yeah Arizona is considered a retirement state so we'll always have that at least. But the shitty thing about everybody moving here is how much the price of living is going through the roof. I find that many people here are getting angry about the amount of Californians moving here lately but they're doing it for the same reasons the people here want to go to Texas. Better prices. Compared to California our homes are a lot cheaper.. ironically that increased our prices to the point many of us who lived our whole lives here are struggling to find homes ourselves. Its funny how things work

Utah for the landscape alone. Would just need to figure out how to create a year round 70° and sunshine bubble around my ranch.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
I love Utah, it's my favorite state
Flowerz · 36-40, F
I currently live in Minnesota and I don't like it much. I would prefer somewhere warmer and near the ocean. So I guess Texas. Which I have lived before.
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
Born and raised a Texan and have lived here all my life. No plans to move anywhere else. I’ve visited all the other states you listed and they all have beautiful areas. But the winters are to much for me. If I ever left Texas the only other place I could imagine living would be the gulf coast of Florida.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@JesseInTX just ordered a new truck that's built in Texas, hell the dealership I go through is even in Texas
JesseInTX · 51-55, M
@MarineBob I’ve been to Missouri many times and have always loved it. But I am biased to my home
CuriousCouple25 · 51-55, CVIP
Someplace warm where i could run around with next to nothing on year round!
DragonFruit · 61-69, M
I lived in St. Louis, Missouri when I was in school there....it wasn’t bad.
Haven’t spent a lot of time in any of the other States listed, though I have been to Minneapolis, Minnesota and Tucson, Arizona and Dallas, Texas and Salt Lake City, Utah.....I wouldn’t want to make a decision on any of those places without spending more than a few days there.
redredred · M
Northern Arizona, the mid west is awful.
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
Kansas City MO is a wonderful place to live.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
Missouri - I have family there
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Arizona, near the Nevada border.
Missouri or Texas
exexec · 61-69, C
I live in Texas, and it's fine. Minn. is too cold for me. Utah and Missouri don't appeal to me. Arizona is too dry. I enjoyed being in the mountains of New Mexico and Colorado. I guess I'll stick with TX with CO as a second choice.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
There are parts of Utah I bet you would like. It's actually my favorite state
I’ve visited all of those states and have no desire to move away from Colorado to any one of them. I grew up in Southern California by the ocean but have now lived in Colorado for 30 years because I love it here and I consider it my home😊

Not interested in the desert. I'm from the Midwest originally, so I could see living in Minnesota or Missouri. Colorado is very nice, though; it's one state I could see moving to at some point.
Theyitis · 36-40, M
Colorado or New Mexico. I’ve lived all my life in Missouri. It wasn’t always this way, but too many whacko Republicans now. It’s always been fairly boring too.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
I live close to Lake of the Ozarks. Grew up here. Now that I have traveled a bit, and I LOVE it out west. I have come to appreciate Missouri. Mainly because of the creeks, bluffs, scenery and less crime too it seems

luckranger71 · 51-55, M
Missouri, Texas and Utah round out the bottom of that list.
@luckranger71 tell that to a Texan 😂 they seem to think they're the best state to ever exist
GBPackersFan · 41-45, M
Texas not a chance too damn hot nor Utah can you even buy 5.0 beer 🍺 there?
TexChik · F
Texas of course. Missouri and Arizona are beautiful as well.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Probably Minnesota.
swandfriends · 41-45, F
Oh yeah, why would you chose there?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@swandfriends First, I hate the heat. Second, I figure I have more chance of finding fellow liberals there, though I might be wrong.
DavyPNW · 56-60, M
Colorado in the summer, Arizona in the winter
