The fact that the image has been censored with little black squares over the nipples, but if it were men it wouldn’t have been shows the difference they’re protesting against. I agree with them - I personally don’t want to walk around topless, but I believe that if men are allowed to then women should be too. I see a lot of men with tits a lot bigger than mine letting them hang out

It's a statement against the patriarchal society, ie a bunch of topless men don't have the same issues. That's the point, sadly it is so often ignorantly or deliberately ignored.

I do think the negative reactions are funny though because there was a time not so long ago actually where women in pants was socially frowned upon and even something we could be arrested for. I’m sure people thought the parades of women in pants looked ridiculous and ostentatious.

This makes me laugh , any other time they would get arrested and asked to cover up , but because its a protest suddenly its ok and no one touches them .Same as the naked bike ride , any other time you would be arrested for riding a bike naked but because its a protest its suddenly ok the LAW IS AN ASS.

I think women should be able to dress The way they feel comfortable and it's our culture that has sexualized breast to the point where any exposure implies sexual intentions. But in saying that I don't ever want to go to a family gathering and seeing any of my family topless or any one under age.

Men do it so women aren’t much different. I strip and I’m not allowed to show my nipples but I can show my tits it seems a bit dumb. What’s so wrong about a nipple ? Men have them too so it’s just double standards.

The “occupy” movement was silly.

These types of protest rarely bring about change and almost always just annoy people.

They are using nudity to be shocking. I bet very few of them have been to a nude beach or resort.

I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. Or at least it's mixed. On one hand drawing attention by any means possible is part of the protesting and activism arsenal. It's just how it works.
On the other hand I kinda think in this particular instance it's usually more of a lip service stunt than an actual progression of a cause.


Either way they are doing their thing for whatever their personal reason so more power to them.a
