Isn't it crazy how social anxiety works? Wherever you go you think people are judging you

but in reality most people are wrapped up in their head and their own thoughts, they could care less about you especially if they don't know you.

In a sense social anxiety is kinda narcissistic. You think everyone is judging you and thinking about you when perhaps nobody really cares.

Very astute observation.

Yes, generally people are lost in their own thoughts, thinking about what they need to do, where they need to go, what they need to buy or pick up, who they need to contact, etc. Not too many people notice those around them and if they do, it's a split second look and it rarely registers. Unless you're doing something really really weird or out of the norm, people don't notice what anyone else is doing.

I don't understand social anxiety? Maybe it happens to people that are always judged by their families, so they don't want to be around MORE people that might do the same?🥺

@ninalanyon Yes, I realize that from first hand experience. My sister was married to a cross dresser at one time.

You are missing a very important sub-group here, people who have deformities, especially facial deformations are looked at and judged by people ALL THE TIME so they have a real excuse to have social anxiety.

No, they often are judging you. The point is you must stand up to them and realize that their opinion about you is not relevant enough for you to cause you such immense emotional distress.

Exactly. We spend so much time worrying about what people think of us, when the truth is that they don't!

@LordShadowfire I agree. Most of the time they are thinking about themselves and their own drama.. but they can be judgemental as well.
