@TheLastWord My generation in Australia watched it every night, at 6pm. We had only two TV channels. Literally 99percent of Australians my age loved it. Hid behind the couch at the daleks (modelled on the Nazis, and their leader Davros on Hitler). And there were only two Doctors: Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker.

@Fairydust I've been wondering if I should give that show a try. I struggle finding comedies funny these days, but have heard good things about Fleabag.
