I’m not going to lie when I say I have done so to one of my ex partners, but when they’re physically abusive it doesn’t matter wether you are a man or woman you can lose tolerance for something that is unacceptable. I restrained myself obviously but she never punched me again.

Typically,men with very low self esteem, who believe they own women like they own their cars. They are weak and cowardly, and back down when you send them to jail...but if you decide to DO that, be aware that the abuser will just abuse you in different ways. Instead of overt physical abuse, he will ramp up the verbal abuse and the gas lighting.

The most common cause of domestic abuse is insecurity and low self esteem caused by traumas in a person's past usually as a child, it's the same for women abusers. It's actually very sad because they're deeply damaged people most of the time who feel shame, which then compounds into their already low self esteem and then the cycle continues. Doesn't condone the behaviour, but it paints a fuller picture.

Obviously you can have people who are just awful/psycopathic but thats rarer.

None .To call them men is an insult to men .Their weak things that dont deserve to belong to the human race .
