Why kind of men raise hands to their women ?

The most common cause of domestic abuse is insecurity and low self esteem caused by traumas in a person's past usually as a child, it's the same for women abusers. It's actually very sad because they're deeply damaged people most of the time who feel shame, which then compounds into their already low self esteem and then the cycle continues. Doesn't condone the behaviour, but it paints a fuller picture.

Obviously you can have people who are just awful/psycopathic but thats rarer.
