Hold the press! There was toilet paper on the shelf today!

Yes, Charmin is actually touting their herculean war effort to supply the shelves and the butts of the nation on television. I am glad. I will be much gladder when it is safe to go to the store and get it.

One interesting note....I ordered 10 rolls of toilet paper online about two months ago. It finally arrived yesterday. It is midget toilet paper. Somehow I missed the fact that the cardboard tubes and the paper itself are only 4" wide...😂

We have been able to find it for a couple weeks now. But I had to go to 3 stores before I could find flour and bRown rice. They had 2 bags of whole wheat flour at Walmart and two bags of self- rising flour so I got one self- rising flour and 2 bags of rice.

I’m running out of kitchen towels. Haven’t been able to buy them for a few weeks.

The little shop the end of my road has had it almost all the time. People seem to strip the supermarkets but the little ones are ok

I've seen more on the shelves too. picked up one pack just to have backup.

From what I can see, this was a perfect storm: the people panic-buying in ludicrous amounts, unchecked by the idiot managers who seem to run most stores, thus creating a shortage. Now, shipments are late, affected by people unable to drive trucks due to CoVid19. I'm sure it affects the manufacturing/distribution side, also. I STILL see people buying up whatever is on the shelves on the rare occasion I go out.
