Catholics are Christians. You have been to non Catholic churches which may have been Protestant.
catholics ARE christian. you will not have to give up jesus
it will be easy to learn thier ways
@Pfuzylogic no, neither is most of what we do.
@kentex35 funny that is the same number of muslims..
so,, who cant be wrong?

It is of critical importance to know if God offers salvation and by what and who.
The religions are not in agreement about that and so it requires a choice to either hear the Holy Spirit or not.

are you joking ? you do know that catholic are Christians, catholic is one type of Christian. anyone who believes Jesus is the savior are Christian.
Billybob2 · 26-30, M
@reflectingmonkey my parents always talked like they were separate somehow.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
@Billybob2 they must have been a certain type of Christian, like protestant or orthodox, just not catholic. no one is simply Christian, there are divergences in the interpretation of the scriptures and these divergences have created various groups, all Christians, but with different interpretation of certain concepts.

catholicism is one of the original brands of christianity

Before we get all stuck in splitting hairs about Christianity.....there is only one True Faith and the Church that represents it: The Church of Bob!!

Why one might ask? Well, Bob-arians recognize that the Almighty Bob or AB is an extra-terrestial being who loves to play poker and serve up Big Macs at communion.

You can't get more genuine than that!

not that much except for figurines of St Mary and Jesus all over the Place , they are very traditional but devout to Christianity just the same , id say Quick Run Away if it was the Jehova Witnesses , another Story , i found the Mormons very interesting , very Spiritual too and at an early age

No most people are Catholics off Christian. But not Roman catholic. Big difference is parishes around the world get their opinion from Rome. There's not the variation from one priest to the next, as there is with preachers . from one Methodist church to the next or Lutherans etc
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
There are quite a number of catholics who are Christian and quite a few catholics who are not Christian. Kind of if going to church makes you a Christian then going to a garage makes you a car.
Nope. They’re both part of the abrahamic faiths and therefore share lots of similarities with one another. Just like judaism and islam.

They only difference that I'm aware of, is the non Catholic clergy sexually abuse slightly fewer children!
( Hope this helps) ✌

To keep it simple let’s say they are the same.

You are more than likely Protestant if you are Christian and not Catholic.

The sacraments are the same
but observed differently.
Catholicism is a Christian faith, arguably one of the first. Some of the rituals maybe different from Protestantism, but it’s the same basic beliefs.
