I have been studying ancient Hinduism for Two years. There are no ancient texts supporting the current understanding of the cast system.

Chatrapati shivaji maharaj was denied rajyabhishek by the brahmins in his kingdom because they thought he was kunbi and a shudra.
After he reconverted balaji nimbalkar many scholars from kashi and varanasi in maharashtra considered the authority of shivaji over hindu religion a sin.
Chatrapati sambhaji raje was captured by moslem ruler Aurangzeb with help of ramdas swami's disciple Ranghnath swami because sambhaji being a maratha gave watandari to dalit and adivasis of maharashtra.
The same ramdas swami was falsely portrayed as a guru of shivaji maharaj to reestablish brahmin supremacy.
Saint Tukaram, Dnyaneshwar mauli, namdev... Read these hindu saints were tortured mentally their entre lifespan by brahmins. Do you understand the vedic dharm more than the scholars?

@OffendingThoughts I am also Hindu, but neither Bhramin nor Kshtriya nor Vaishya nor Shudra, nor converted. You don't know about Hinduism, You seems to be a politically influenced biased person. Can't say if you are really a Hindu Bhramin or not.

Gokhale is my surname from maharashtra of kashyap gotra.
My ancestors were killedars.
I know the racism better and being a girl I know how ugly this culture is.
These are just political cadres trying to win vote by saying all Hindus are equal and caste system is not bad like you know. I have heard enough talks from RSS members saying we can use hindu unity first to destroy the Muslims and later we can reestablish caste system in 2025 because that's their Anniversary.
Real Hindu saints are Sant Tukaram, Dnyaneshwar mauli, even Sambhaji Maharaj.
Sant Tukaram was murdered by Salo Malo Bhatt for preaching bhakti movement and for guiding the lower castes himself being shudra.
Hinduism Today goes like this, A Kulkarni / Joshi orders The Thakur and the Thakur tortures a chamar.
Sadhgurus knowledge is of no use if he can't stop this, just totally wipe the Varna Ashram in Hinduism drop the use trillion billion year old egoistic family Surnames, Encourage inter caste marriages, and ban pandits or anyone from asking gotra and kuldaivat, protect the kunbi caste farmer in droughts.
That's how Shivajiraje - Sambhajiraje's swarajya will be re-established but you people want ram rajya which is based on caste system.

Brahmins (priests=)are born from the mouth of God,
Kshatyria (warrior clans) born from hands
Vaishya (business class ) from thigh
Shudra(dark skinned people to do basic jobs) from feet

1.brahmin (priest class pure blooded and should keep religion alive)
2.kshatriya (Warrior class born as military men)
3.vaishya (business class money makers and who fund the warriors empire and should Donate to the brahmins on auspicious occasions)
4 shudra lower caste( it does all the basic jobs and most people are dark skinned and bigger in population)
5... untouchable (lowliest form of life born (because karma) to clean toilets and do all the dirty stuff, lives out side villages and does labour work (most of the population in this caste has African blood hence impure to touch ))

Untouchables and shudras are denied basic human rights and education.
