@Overwatch6 It was not what saved Britain if you are referring to the accidental bombing of London followed by RAF retaliation by bombing Berlin and the Blitz. It was one part of the battle. The RAF won by using an integrated command and control including radar that allowed the planes to stay on the ground and then intercept german bombers. Also the spitfire was superior to all german fighters and the RAF shot down at least twice as many planes as they lost.German losses were so high they were running out of both aircraft and aircrew. The British also used to put messages our on British radio mocking the germans for missing London when they had not so the germans altered where they dropped bombs..into empty fields.Britain won a very clear victory.Like I said you really do need to read around your subject better. It will save you from getting corrected by a woman younger than you.

@Overwatch6 The RAF finished the Battle of Britain with more planes that it started with and proved it's superiority.I think you must be the only person on the planet that is dumb enough to get this so wrong. You need history lessons.Read around the subject better you are embarrassing yourself.

Basically against the British empire in which it was declared a tie and the US basically made a positive gain. The Brits nothing.

@tallpowerhouseblonde Buffalo (Beau Fleu) was conceded to the Americans.

@21stCenturyFox I guess all that internet learni'n pays off.

@Overwatch6 You have just contradicted what you wrote earlier when you said a superior Chinese force was repelled. How is anyone going to accept what you say about history when you cannot even remember things you wrote yourself just one day ago.

It was the British that burned Washington in 1814 as the naval blockade allowed the Royal Navy to raid at will.Overall the conflict was almost evenly fought.American casualties were a little higher.

I find Canadians to be pretentious with their “I’m so polite” trope
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
Canada wasn't in that war. There was no Canada. Great Britain was in that war.
MarmeeMarch · M
@Xuan12 Very good - all that internet learn'n is worth the time just to prove someone wrong. Must make you feel that you are superior. I'm sure thats something ingrained in you when you were being raised.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@MarmeeMarch When is learning not worth while? Besides, these aren't obscure events. The War of 1812 and The First Crusade are basic education.
MarmeeMarch · M

Technically, that was the British...
21stCenturyFox · 26-30, F
@WoodyAq Except much of the Canadian forces were militia from Canada and six nations Indians (both native).
