Canada wasn't in that war. There was no Canada. Great Britain was in that war.

@Xuan12 Incorrect on many counts. The regions were long known as the Canadas, as opposed to New England in America. And native populations (both European and six nations Indians) made up a good portion of its armed forces. It was a fight against aggressive American expansionism through invasion; the defense of freedom and property.

@21stCenturyFox Nation of Canada was founded in 1867. If you want to count countries as being involved in wars that occurred in or around their territory before they were formed, then every nation's history is going to look a lot different. Remember when Turkey asked the the Pope to send soldiers to help fight the Turks, and they massacred a bunch of Jews in France and Germany while on the way to invade Israel? Yes, a version of this actually happened. but none of those nations existed at the time. You recognize the regions of territory, but the situation is simply not equatable to the events or character of other time periods. (Albeit the Jews in Germany thing did come up later too. XD)

@Xuan12 Very good - all that internet learn'n is worth the time just to prove someone wrong. Must make you feel that you are superior. I'm sure thats something ingrained in you when you were being raised.

@MarmeeMarch When is learning not worth while? Besides, these aren't obscure events. The War of 1812 and The First Crusade are basic education.
