@SW-User no. Seeing all the hypocrisy and backstabbing really turned me off religion. I’m more spiritual. I’ve felt more in the presence of something holy in nature than I ever did in a church.

idk. They were more self absorbed and hypocritical and micromanaging and didn't know what they f they were doing then "strict".
I always figured they were just too much, because my friends NEVER wanted to come to my house because of my family and all the tension. I always had to go to their houses.

@Newport50 Yes, also because I was the youngest, I think. When I was growing up boys were given much more freedom than girls. Even at 11 or 12 my friends and I could roam all over the small town we lived in, even after dark (although not on school nights).

Girls, even teenage girls caught out after dark w/o their parents knowing where they were were in big trouble.

Like Mamapolo2016, mine would’ve been 5 then, 20 today. My parents simply wanted to know where I was when not at home or at school, I had a curfew, which became negotiable as I got older and demonstrated responsibility, and they wanted to know who my friends were. A boy couldn’t just honk and I’d go running out, he was expected to come to the door. It was very reasonable, really.

@bijouxbroussard I was thinking of vocally making a honking noise. I do it myself if a car sounds its horn at me. I shout "HONK! to you!". I thought you meant something like that. Lol :)
