On a scale of 1-10, how strict are/were your parents?

1, assuming 1 means the strict end of the scale.
@NankerPhelge I assumed it the other way.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 You should have explained that in your post. In that case it's 10.
@NankerPhelge It's not my post. Don't holler at me.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 Sorry, I forgot who posted it. I wasn't hollering. I tend to assume the number 1 indicates the top end of the scale.
@NankerPhelge Just joking. But you might want to rethink that scale. Suppose someone offers to introduce you to a 10 and you run the other way!

@Mamapolo2016 What do you mean? My way of thinking is probably influenced by years and years of listening to popular music. You know, the number one record being the one that's sold the most in the last week. That's where my scale of 1 for the top comes from. Lol :)
@NankerPhelge I mean, Bo Derek was a 10.

This lady...isn't.

NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 Bo Derek might have starred in a movie called "10" (which was a dismal 3 anyway), but I lowered my opinion of her when I found out she'd changed her birthday.
@NankerPhelge That poor child. I bet she was crushed.

Changed her birthday? "Sorry, future Mom, can't make it on the 14th. Hair & makeup and onesie fittings ... you know...how about we aim for the 17th?"
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 Her birthday used to be December 20th, then after a few years it suddenly became November 20th. I mean, what's that all about? 🤔
@NankerPhelge I have no idea. I'm more curious about why a month change in birthday could alter your opinion.

Possible reasons:
She was tired of being a Sagittarius and preferred Scorpio.

Dec 20, too close to Christmas, she got gypped on presents.

Most likely - it got recorded wrong in the first place and she corrected it.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 The first one is closest to the truth. Why would she pretend to be a Sagittarius for a few years if she was really a Scorpio all along? I've been a victim of similar behaviour myself, I once dated a woman who pretended she was a Cancer for a few weeks when she was really a Leo all along. What would a woman hope to gain from doing things like that? 🤔
@NankerPhelge I have this odd feeling we're not using the same language.

I don't know what she'd gain. I don't know what you'd lose either. Do you regard astrological compatibility as essential?
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 Of course I do. When I date a woman I go out of my way to treat her according to whatever sign she is and I expect her to treat me like a Pisces. It doesn't get any simpler. Why, what "language" were you talking when you said "She was tired of being a Sagittarius and preferred Scorpio"?
@NankerPhelge That explains the comprehension gap. I don't pay any attention to star signs, except for entertainment value. That doesn't mean I think it's wrong or foolish, it just didn't occur to me.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 It's never stopped occurring to me since 1981. It's not just for entertainment value.
@NankerPhelge I grant you your opinions. They're just not mine. No conflict.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Mamapolo2016 What is your opinion on why people born on certain dates are born with certain traits? If it is not down to astrological signs, what is the real reason for that?
