Hey, I love the new moods y'all added, but I really wish the "Top" section in the comments was optional by post. Having top comments on all posts makes things feel competitive in inappropriate contexts like selfie posts or venting posts. In any case, off to Yahoo I go! I love this place and I wanna see it grow. ❤️
@SW-User One of the members was an older woman and she made friends with him, they would do webcam chats. She got a lot of information about him and when he started acting ruthless she gave it to another member who posted he would be taking a trip to Arizona and talking to the police there. Then he posted his real name & address long enough for him to see it but he took it down. He calmed his butt down for quite awhile after that.
It would be really helpful if you separated groups and questions again so you could find the content relevant to your interests. It’s really difficult weeding through all the nonsense to find anything of substance. I miss seeing stories and posts in the groups that are of interest to me. All I see are random questions that often have nothing to do with the group topic.
@Vivaci I had completely forgotten about it until someone reminded me about it yesterday. It was fun to read the posts, and I liked that they were anonymous.
Why does there have to be something in it for you lot???
How about you get more people to talk to - and the site continues on for even longer???
Like it or not... admin work hard to keep the site alive and bring you new features that you might or might not like - yet, more often than not, we hate changes to the site and give them flack.
They ask for one thing in return and the blackmail starts. How about you participate or not without resorting to blackmailing them???
@mysteryespresso I've sat here for a while now, just reading the replies... and I just can't bite my tongue anymore - I'm done sitting on my hands, and they need to hear how it is.
I have had SW for several years now. When all these changes were made overnight or so it seemed, I got locked out with both my account and signin SW name. For months, I couldn't communicate with my friends nor answer questions or statemets. I had no one I could ask about why this had happened and my friends on the other side couldn't hear from me and they were afraid something had happened to me.
I don't want this to happen again. Please help me before it does.
@mysteryespresso It is. It's what I used from back in EP. But when I tried to continue with it when the last set of changer were inistituted, I was "locked up" with both my name and account. I still have no clue why that was done, and I couldn't reach anyone who could fix it or tell me why. It took me several months to wait it out before it was restored. I don't want this to happen again.
And you need to do this why? If people have questions they'll put it in we browser and it will just come up with this place or whatever no need to be printing this
@FreestyleArt Back in the days of tube TV's, we had one of those big 27" cabinet tube TV's that sat on the floor, then we had a 19" tube TV on top of the cabinet TV, just so we could watch both WWF and WCW at the same time. I miss those days :(
@FreestyleArt Yea we didn't want to miss a second of any of it. The problem was, if you were watching WWF and changed over during the commercial break to WCW, they would also be at commercial break. There was no way to switch back and forth so we figured out how to ;)
The flood from Yahoo Answers will make SW less diverse. The people from there are overwhelmingly political and overwhelmingly American. It's going to backfire.
I started out on YA many years ago in the football section and Ned Kelly (SW) was there at the same time. Some great times there and some great people.
@Lostpoet How so? This place is unorganized and there are not many groups to join where you get people who want to talk about subjects like sports, politics, police brutality, etc.
