Science is divided on the age f the Earth, some say it is millions of years old and others say it is 6024 years old.

Renowned scientists such as Brian Cox, Kent Hovind and Ken ham have theories that seem to contradict each other. Both have valid arguments but we live on an Earth with finite resources so, if the Earth is millions of years old I would like the 'so called' old Earth scientists to answer these questions:

Why has the air not run out? If the Earth was millions of years old we would have used it all up by now.

Why has water not run out? Even after 6000 years there are shortages of water, surely if the Earth was older we would have used it all up?...Are 'Old Earthers' saying that the Earths inhabitants did not drink water before the Earth was created 6024 years ago?

Where are all the waste and the dead bodies? Mmmm, did this and they just disappear...

I think most of you will agree that this is 'Checkmate' old Earthers.

Gads! Mine esteemed friend, thou dost jest most heartily! Perchance the air and water be replenished by ye olde magic of the Earth herself, or mayhap 'tis the work of industrious sprites and faeries. As for the waste and bodies, mayhap they hath been spirited away by mischievous imps or turned to dust by the sands of time. Truly, thy ‘Checkmate’ doth amuse me greatly! Pray, let us quaff a tankard of ale and ponder these mysteries further! 🍻

I am currently writing a thesis that propounds the theory the Earth was flat until some aliens rolled it up into a ball so they could play "soccer" (as they called it) amongst the stars some 6024 years ago. Maybe they also brought fresh air and water and took the dead home to their planet for Halloween decorations!
@hunkalove I like your thesis much better then that of the original Poster.

Sir; as far as the water part of your question is concerned, I was reminded of something I read about, a year ago, about it having rained non stop for two million years. It meant, of course, that test match cricket was impossible, because the outfield never dried out; on the other hand, it was an ideal time for swimmers to practice for the Olympics.

Fish were able to swim about without worrying about ending up fried in batter and covered in gravy, then served with chips. It was also a good time for sea cruises.

After the shower of rain that lasted two mllion years finally ended, an immediate hosepipe ban was introduced to save water. And the privatised utilities still increased their charges at 5% above the rate of inflation.

@jackieash27 Interesting theories there Ma'am. I shall investigate and get back to you.

Are you really serious? Have you ever had a terrarium? They are making nature versions of an ecosystem. The world has been able to replenish itself, so far, because of the balance of nature, because the atmosphere surrounding our living space has been protective. It is becoming painfully obvious that humans are not always good protectors of this delicate balance. We are at a tipping point, we have been partially responsible for climate change that is seriously threatening that balance.

@samueltyler2 Of course he's serious. Everyone knows university professors only think about tenure, getting published, sports cars, and impregnating undergraduates and they have no sense of humor!

The answer, believe it or not, comes from the psyence of homeopathy.

When the famous Irish professor, Homspurn O'Path, discovered that water is capable of curing all human ailments he suggested that, in return, humans can cure all water ailments.

It just seemed fair and a nice thing to do.

Non-existence is an obvious ailment.

Therefore water and humans have been curing each other back into existence for many millennia.

As for the lack of air, scholars should look into findings of the renowned Professor of Methaquatics - Dr Franz Artzinderbath....

It is a laughable question that water 'runs out' - water is used to create new molecules and some gets destroyed or broken down but it is constantly regenerated by release from various molecules.
The life of earth planet can be measured by analysing the half lives of certain atoms and molecules and that points to some figure many hundreds of times of that '6024' figure.
I love it when they tell me matter of facitly of shit that happened a million years ago..
Me: oh really? Can we see any witness testimonies? 🤔

Considering air and water is completely recycled...... My question is "How does the sun work that it doesn't just go poof and blow up real good?

The air run out seriously? Perhaps a short read on what supplies the oxygen we breathe. SMH
