Actually, and this is true, WW2 hasn’t actually ended yet. Russia and Japan have never signed a peace treaty with each other due to a dispute over some islands north of Japan on the border of Siberia, and technically the war very quietly goes on in that little pocket of the world as those islands change hands every few years.
