Currently no. I had an online friend I was really close with several years ago. We seemed to know things about each other without being told and nothing was off limits. Not quiet two years ago I got a message from her telling me she had just got out of jail (which explained why I hadn't heard from her the previous 6 months) and was trying to get settled in somewhere and maybe we could catch back up soon. After about 2 or 3 emails she disappeared again and I haven't heard from her since. I don't know if she ended up back in jail, homeless and living under a bridge somewhere, or she's back in another abusive relationship and afraid to contact me. I keep hoping that she'll turn back up.

Everyone should have a venting partner. Better yet, more than one. Life is so much more pleasant when there’s someone you know you can always vent to. But be careful not to overdo the privilege.
