Will these enhancements be for the wealthy elites only? But to answer your question, hell yeah. Amerca's healthcare system probably wouldn't pay for it though.

If you're approaching your mid-30s you're already at the end of the lifespan our species has experienced for most of its existence.
The decades beyond 40 that we currently enjoy are thanks to improved scientific knowledge, but most of the world misses out on that.
In evolutionary terms it's simple... replicate your genes (mid- to late-teens), stick around long enough to help that replication also replicate - then be gone.
@jamesbugman commented on the cost to the planet of more and more humans living longer and longer, and there's also a social and economic cost that Western nations are now experiencing.
The fact is, we have a population problem because sex is more popular than dying 😂

I'm not sure if sex is more popular than dying, but it certainly is more gratifying than dying!

I’d really rather not.
And I don’t think it’s good for other people. People hate change, so they’re going to hate the future.

Depends on how healthy I am. I don't want to be a bedridden burden for years, so I hope I also have the option for assisted suicide and can to some extent choose my lifespan.

It depends on the quality of my life. I like to focus on quality not quantity.

Depends on my health and whether or not my loved ones would still be around.

@OlderSometimesWiser
Being healthy is not enough. You need money also.

@sree251 I don’t want to be an ancient person who has to depend on others for my happiness.

Living past our normal lifespan... which is that finite time capsule that's encased within our DNA that we're never privy to.
Our normal lifespan therefore only exists for as long as the 'present moment' lasts, not for as long as our future lasts. That is because our total lifespan is only ever the 'here and now', not the past. This is because the past doesn't exist nor does the future exist because no evidence exists that the future exists beyond the 'present moment'.

I am with you, swirlie.
"past" and "future", as we understand it do exist; otherwise, we cannot have a conversation about Donald Trump and his hilarious presidency.
Our bodies don't have anything. They are concepts. Take you body for instance. Look at its appearance in the mirror. Close your eyes. It disappears. You hold the idea of having a body constantly even with your eyes closed. The sense of touch reinforces that idea.
Are you with me so far?

The so-called 'past' and 'future' don't exist, sree251, therefore your comment is invalid.

Oh and by the way, we are not our bodies for sure, which is not something that YOU deduced, but our bodies do have DNA yet our Spirit Energy does not.

"Matter" is not a concept, it is an element of the earth. Our physical bodies are therefore elements of the earth because they are comprised of "matter".

The planet cannot even sustain our current rate of breeding let alone making people live longer. We need more disease and death, not longer life.
