Something I found online.

@DrWatson When i was about 11, we went on a family holiday to Blackpool. We went to the waxworks one afternoon. One of the first exhibits in the entrance hall was a ballerina dancing Swan Lake.
My mum was quite mesmerized by it. Me, my sister and Dad were stood behind her disinterested, waiting to move on. Mum turned to the security guard and commented on how beautiful the scene was. The man didn't reply. 'I can't believe how lifelike they are' she said to him....she them walked over to us and said....'miserable bugger'....totally unaware she'd been trying to start a conversation with a wax model!! We were in fits of laughter.....but Mum had to go back to the guard and touch him to check he was indeed a model!!
She never lived it down!!!!

It could be worse, the mannequin might put a cold hand on your face and tell you it's OK sweety.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@JamesBugman True. But it is more likely to simply give you the cold shoulder!
