Clever! 😆

There actually is a right answer to that question, it is the egg. Fish were laying eggs for millions of years before chickens evolved. Unless you're a young earth creationist; then God created the chicken first.

@SparkleLeaf hmmmm.

I knew there was something fishy about this question.

@SparkleLeaf but those are fish laying the eggs. So they arent chickens.

I think the chicken has to come first because the species has to evolve to a chicken, then lay a chicken egg to reproduce. Before that it was what ever came before chickens.

But you could also argue that the evolution happens within the egg because the new species would have to sprout from there. 🤷‍♂

@GuyWithOpinions how did the chicken reproduce and lay an egg?

Then the question must be..

Which came first the egg or two chickens?
(One be a rooster)
Lol
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@SledgeHammer a rooster is just a male chicken. Its the same species.
SledgeHammer · 46-50, M
@GuyWithOpinions but you need a hen and a rooster
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@SledgeHammer yes. Chicken+chicken=chicken. What am i not understanding?
SledgeHammer · 46-50, M
@GuyWithOpinions its "Chicken" or the egg...
Not---
"Chickens" or the eggs

@SledgeHammer i think theres better explenations out there than looking at the wording. Im sure alot of people out there have different answers.

@GuyWithOpinions You forgot the secret recipe coating.

@GuyWithOpinions evolution is so gradual that there are not two generations one could look at and say, "this one is not a chicken but this one is." We can tell a modern day chicken from a modern day eagle. But if you could look at all the successive generations not one would stand out as the first chicken.

@SparkleLeaf this is true too.
