I went to KFC years ago and ordered a meal for four. I drove to the window and paid, then drove home.

When I got in the house, I sensed something was wrong. I wasn’t carrying any food. I went back to the car to get it, but it wasn’t there either.

I called the store and heard laughter in the background.

Humbly, I asked if I had failed to get the food and they agreed that I had. “C’mon back for it,” said the gentleman on the phone.

So then I had to go to the order microphone and confess I was the idiot who had forgotten the food.

They felt so sorry for a dunce that would do that they gave me a free Bundt cake.

grade 5 swimming class years ago....one of the girls in my class was an early bloomer...apparently so was i...she told me i had big boobs for a boy...i looked at hers and said "so do you" 🤦

A very long time ago.. I think about 3 lifetimes ago, I went into a sandwich place for lunch with a bunch of guys from work. I had never been in one of these before, you could see all these ingredients behind the counter and you built your own sandwich telling them what you wanted on it. The concept was new at the time. Well I got a roast beef with olives and cheese, mayo and salt and pepper, then the guy asked if there was anything else and I said "toss some brussel sprouts on there too please" He looked at me hesitating, not even a crack of a smile, and said "you mean bean sprouts?". "oh right, umm yea".
Well, I heard that story go around the office for years after.
