Post something funny that has happened to you.

This happened to me at least twenty-five years ago.
I worked in auto parts for many years. One day at work a mechanic came up from the back to get something. I asked him what he needed and he said, "I knew until I walked up here." A customer was standing at the counter and told the mechanic "I know just what you need. Zinc tablets." (According to the customer, zinc helped people improve their memories.)
Right after this I went to lunch. When I returned, I noticed the man who had recommend zinc tablets to the mechanic had forgotten to take the items with he had had purchased right before I went to lunch.

I went to KFC years ago and ordered a meal for four. I drove to the window and paid, then drove home.

When I got in the house, I sensed something was wrong. I wasn’t carrying any food. I went back to the car to get it, but it wasn’t there either.

I called the store and heard laughter in the background.

Humbly, I asked if I had failed to get the food and they agreed that I had. “C’mon back for it,” said the gentleman on the phone.

So then I had to go to the order microphone and confess I was the idiot who had forgotten the food.

They felt so sorry for a dunce that would do that they gave me a free Bundt cake.
