What is the point of it being so large? Especially in many modern houses with their quite small rooms.
I don't know the aspect ratio of a television, but from that it should be fairly easy to calculate the length and height of the screen. (The quoted dimension is the diagonal of the display area.)

@FreeSpirit1 in all honesty I've never been in a situation where one is side by side. But if I watch the hd channels and then watch the same station that doesnt have the hd added then yea it looks less defined.
