I pretty much live in my closet, too. It comes from living in a world where I'm not understood, and most likely never will be. It would be a miracle to find someone who really 'gets' me. That would be worth living for. Other than that... well... I could leave any time. I don't care anymore. Not in this sick world.

That's always the first sign of whether or not your family is safe to come out to right. How they'd treat a gay friend or relative who isn't you. I'm sorry. I wish they were better.

Also, you can be concerned about human rights without being in the exact group in question.
