Brutally Honest Parent-Teacher Meeting

I went in to check on one of my daughters classes a few years ago she told all the reasons why her grade was low, I introduced myself to the teacher and wanted to discuss her grade. He grinned and said she is a good kid but she doesnt do the work as he pulled out his grade book showed me she missed a test and failed to turn in a couple of homework assignments. He told me he allowed her to make up the test but there was a grade letter penalty for missing but better than Zero, said if she had turned in her assignments her grade would of been much better. I agreed and would talk to her about getting her work done and turned in he thanked me for coming in and not being irate and argumentative.
I went home told my daughter I talked to your teacher you got the grade you deserved so start doing the work assigned and turn it in!!
